The beginning

The woods of North Idaho. View from Jordon Saddle near the Couer d'Alene River. These are series of pictures from a trip that my best friend, my brother, and I took last summer in the North Idaho wilderness. All three of us are avid hunters, fishers and outdoorsmen. Growing up in North Idaho it's hard not to be an outdoors person. You really have to try in order to ignore nature in this part of the world.
From left to right: My best friend of more than 2 decades Jake, my older brother Jon, and me.
The upper photo is a view of the Montana Rockies from the Idaho side. The lower picture is Jon again. God what a beautiful day it was.
 Jake again. What a poser.
This is the Coeur d'Alene River not far from its headwaters.
Jake and Jon preparing to try and catch some fish. The river is just out of the shot on the right.
This is what happens when you mix four wheelers, mud holes and brothers.
Jon got the worst of the mud. If you look close you can see clean spots on his forehead where his goggles where.

These two pictures are from where we stopped to eat our lunch on the second day of the trip. Jake and Jon are enjoying the view. How could you not?
This is the only fish we caught on the trip (it was a little early in the year) and Jake caught it to me and Jon's shame. I hate it when Jake out-fishes me considering I taught him how to fish. This fish was caught on a number 8 Adams fly and was returned to the river immediately after the photo was taken.
These videos are of some rough spots we had to go through. We went so far up in elevation that we ran into a little snow and a lot of mud.
